The Transnational Pilot Syllabus is designed for students in the first two years of upper secondary school. The syllabus aims to provide students with the knowledge, skills and competences to take an active role in Sustainable Development.
The European Union sets out the broad principles of sustainable development from the strategic objectives of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030. At the same time, the development of a European sustainability competence framework is one of the policy actions set out in the European Green Deal as a catalyst to promote learning on environmental sustainability in the European Union.
It provides a common ground to learners and guidance to educators, advancing a consensual definition of what sustainability as a competence entails.
